Guilderland Public Library

2228 Western Ave., Guilderland, NY 12084

(518) 456-2400

Saturday, July 24th

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

In response to the extraordinary public show of interest in the recent talks about Lyme Disease by prominent Lyme doctors, the Capital Region Chapter of the Empire State Lyme Disease Association will present an Open Forum Discussion on Lyme Disease.  The forum will be geared to answer questions about Lyme Disease, assist victims to identify physicians who specialize in Lyme treatment, and to provide education pertaining to prevention and management of the disease.

Lyme Disease, rampant in our area, is a highly complex disease that is often very difficult to diagnose and treat. Blood tests for Lyme often return “false negative” results, leading doctors and patients down long, expensive, and incorrect diagnostic paths.  Very few doctors in the country are considered “Lyme Literate”, but
New York is fortunate to have a number of outstanding experts in the field of Lyme Disease who are helping many Capital District residents who are afflicted with Lyme.

The meeting is free and open to the public.  For additional information, please contact bjmeslda@yahoo.com or kameslda@yahoo.com.
