Hey everyone, and Happy New Years…3 weeks late. By the time Christmas hit it was time to put some energy and focus into taking care of myself. The stress of the holidays is intensified for someone with chronic illness. I’m finally to a point where I think I’ve “turned a corner”, and hoping for some healing and relief in the future, as well as progress. At the same time life got hectic just as holidays were ending. Between paperwork, phone calls, new Dr’s, tests, disability insurance and so on, I’ve found myself spending 4-6 hours of nonstop “work”. I’ve even had to take some time away from Facebook to truly focus on this stuff.
It’s the end of the year, lots of medical stuff that has to be done…to close out 2010 and prepare for 2011. In addition, I’ve been forcing myself to take it one step further and not just rest, but learn to actually relax when I rest. It’s not easy, but I’m starting to see positive results.
So to let you all know, I’m working on some post ideas for this week and will be back shortly. But had to take care of the “business” of being sick, in addition to focusing on taking care of my body and what it needs right now.
Hope everyone is well, looking forward to some upcoming stuff we have for your delight. Hope the holidays treated everyone well. I know it seems most I know are still trying to recover from the added stress of the holidays, as well as the winter blues that so often accompany the month of January. I hope for all those who are having a rough time right now that you find relief. There are ups and downs…we don’t appreciate the ups without the downs. It doesn’t make you feel any better during the downs, but know it’s all part of the process of working towards healing.
I am well, working hard at focusing on life and health, and working my way back to writing again. Just wanted to let everyone know I’m still alive and doing well…all things considered.
Again, Happy New Year to all of you….I know it’s late, but thanking you all for the support in 2010, and looking forward to an exciting year of 2011 working together as we bring about the truth about this disease to the world.
